The Photo of the Month (POM) is a monthly NCRAL competition celebrating astronomical imaging. Submissions are primarily welcomed from member societies and clubs in the Region. They can be images of deep-sky, planets, the Moon, the Sun, eclipses, occultations, meteor trails, interesting atmospheric phenomena, etc. or even discovery images. Images can be submitted repeatedly, but priority is given to images received in the current calendar month.
By submitting a photo or video to the POM competition, the author grants NCRAL the right to:
• Include the submission in the monthly judging and selection process.
• Download the file for review and archival purposes.
• Display the submission on NCRAL websites and official social media channels.
Submissions are made voluntarily without entitlement to any fee, royalty, or financial reward.
The ranking, evaluation, and selection of winning images are final and not legally enforceable.
